ELLAI Supported CEIBS Shanghai Campus Class 144 in the “Xuanzang's Pilgrimage” Gobi Trekking Challenge

On May 5, the 14th "Xuanzang's Pilgrimage" International Business School Gobi Trekking Challenge ended successfully.

After 4 days and 3 nights of trekking, participants trekked through Mohe Yanqi Gobi, which is 108 km, and finally arrived at the destination of the race - Qingquan, Gansu. ELLAI supported CEIBS Shanghai Campus Class 144 team members who won the second place.

The "Xuanzang's Pilgrimage" Gobi Trekking Challenge is the most influential and high-profile cultural experience event in the EMBA & MBA circle among global Chinese business schools, and is also a fierce competition of strength and willpower. It is held once a year in May with the direct participation of business school students from the world. Participants trek through more than 100 kilometers of uninhabited Gobi to get an immersive experience of the journey which surpasses their physical limits under the severe natural environment.

On May 2, the Challenge kicked off with 3,300 challengers from 62 colleges and universities at home and abroad beginning a self-challenging "spiritual pilgrimage" travel on the Mohe Yanqi Gobi.

108 km, 4 days and 3 nights, challenging the limits

In northern Xinjiang in May, everything has just come back to life. This time of year is the most beautiful time on the Gobi Desert, but the wind is still raging. The wind and sand, salt and alkali, and camel thorns of the Gobi Desert are rough, brash, and even savage. In the sand and wind, people look even tinier, and only with their hearts can they feel the spurt of life.

The top elites who were in the metropolis, came to the silent Gobi from bustling cities, challenged their physical limits, embraced the most pristine nature, and talked to their hearts to gain more positive power.

Crossing the Gobi is not only a sentiment, but also a life experience.

Through tribulations, our mind can be open and clear. To keep our original intention, we can finally get what we want.

Four days and three nights, 108 kilometers of Gobi trekking witnessed the sweat and tears, and also witnessed the great sublimation of ideals, action, perseverance and transcendence. This is an eternal honor that belongs to all participants.
